How I Got Started

When I was younger my mom taught aerobics part-time at a few of the local gyms, so I spent most evenings after school around fitness enthusiasts. I started working out as soon as the gyms would allow and I immediately understood why my mom loved exercise!

By the time I reached my junior year in college, I was an avid gym-goer, training before and after class and reading fitness and bodybuilding magazines in my free time. Before graduating, I worked part-time at a Golds Gym near campus and although fitness became my top priority, I never considered making a career out of that passion. So, I “trained” my friends and helped them with their nutrition and became the campus fitness pro!

Fast forward to my first year in “Corporate America” and I knew the traditional 9-5 job and office setting just wasn’t for me. I completed a personal training certification course and I started working as a personal trainer in the evenings after work. I loved it and as cliche as it may sound, it made me feel alive! I built clientele quickly and communicating with clients, program design and nutrition coaching came natural to me. Shortly thereafter, I took a huge leap of faith in deciding to train full time at a private fitness studio.

Every day I wake up excited and blessed to be able to share my passion for health and my desire to teach a ‘back to basics’ approach to fitness to a variety of clients.

Why I Love Fitness

I lead a very busy life, spending most days doing things for other people. However, fitness is all about me! I love how it relaxes my mind and challenges my body in ways that nothing else ever has. I feel young, vibrant and healthy and those feelings can only be attributed to physical training and sound nutrition. Age is not a factor, fitness is all about how you use and nourish your body.
